Job Title:  Senior Funder 

Location:  Lynnwood, WA

  • Assist in the production of residential loans by preparing loan documents to ensure loans meet all requirements of WMS Series LLC (“WMS”).

  • Coordinate within WMS and with external partners to ensure that all loans fund with proper documentation. Responsible for post- closing follow up to ensure a complete file.

  • Ensure excellent communication between all departments.

  • Prepare loan documents and escrow instructions.

  • Detail all loan charges and note any documents required by the Processor for funding.

  • Prepare and deliver all files to escrow.

  • Ensure that all loans meet the requirements of the company and regulatory guidelines.

  • Register loan on MERS within 3 days of funding, following prescribed MERS procedures.

  • Coordinate any follow-up conditions as necessary for funding department to ensure completion with required timeframes.

  • Maintain excellent communication between customers, Loan Officers, Processors and all other parties involved in each loan transaction.

  • Provide a superior level of customer service to all parties.

  • Understand and maintain a thorough knowledge of WMS operations and organization, communicating this understanding to others when appropriate and referring inquiries and correspondence to the proper department or individual. Be familiar with all permanent loan programs.

  • All other duties as assigned by the Operations Center Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 years of mortgage and 2 years of funding experience required.

  • Experience in preparing loan documents.

  • Excellent communication skills -- phone, personal contact and written.

  • Ability to read and analyze loan documents to meet underwriting requirements.

  • Ability to work under extreme pressure due to volume and time deadlines.

  • Strong ability, desire and enjoyment in working with others, both employees and customers, in a cooperative, professional and friendly spirit.

  • Must be a self-starter, dependable, accurate in completing responsibilities with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with staff, management, and mortgage consultants.

  • Must possess good judgment, ability to accept responsibility and handle confidential information.

  • Able to work as part of a team, as well as independently and with people of diverse backgrounds.

  • Ability to deal work with escrow companies, real estate agents and attorneys in an effective, efficient and cheerful manner.

  • Accurate keyboarding skills.

  • Ability to accept and facilitate change, whether indicated by company needs, market or regulatory requirements.

  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

  • Regular and punctual attendance.

  • Willingness to assume additional duties/projects as they arise.
